This allows SkyLab to communicate with other synths, DAWs and anything else that uses MIDI. Can generate two separate outputs from a single incoming MIDI clock; one fixed at 16th notes and the other variable from whole notes up to 64th notes.
Used to restrict incoming random voltage to notes related to pre-selected scales. The two outputs can be used to generate harmonies based on the input.
4MS Rotating Clock Divider
The ability to divide a clock signal by 1-64 adds tons of possibility to a patch. The rotate function shifts the divisions creating some surprising variation
4MS RCD Breakout
Adds functionality to the RDC by making additional parameters available with a single switch. You would otherwise have to remove the module and move jumpers to access these parameters.
AntiMatter Brain Seed
A realtime CV step recorder/looper. Record and playback sequences of 8, 16, 32 or variable length up to 1,000 steps, change the order of the steps (forward, backward, pendulum or random). Record over any part of the recorded sequence. Quantize the sequence to chromatic, major or minor scales.
Dual sample and hold for creating random voltages for modulating pitch of oscillators VCF cutoff or any other parameters you see fit.
RYO Dual Discrete NAND/AND
Uses LOGIC to create new rhythms or wave forms. AND LOGIC will only give an output when voltages on inputs 1 AND 2 (AND 3) are high at the same time. NAND (Negative AND) is the opposite
Doepfer A-147 VCLFO
Voltage Controlled Low Frequency Oscillator. Four available wave forms with CV input to vary frequency with an Envelope, Sample & Hold or another LFO!
Make Noise Maths
One of my favorite modules, I use it in almost every patch. It can be and do so much: envelope generator/follower, LFO, VCO, attenuator, polarizer and much more. It's the Swiss Army Knife of modules.
Ian Fritz Threeler VCF
Voltage Controlled Filter with twelve different output stages and ridiculous self-resonating capabilities making it a great sine wave VCO.
Mutable Instruments Ripples
Multi-mode voltage controlled filter with beautiful resonance.
Tiptop Audio Z3000
Voltage Controlled Oscillator/Low Frequency Oscillator with a very handy built-in frequency counter for easy tuning. A nice assortment of Frequency Modulating and Sync capabilities. Top it off with a built-in wave shaper and this is a very useful unit.
Erica Synths Pico A Mix
Not much to this one, just a simple three channel audio mixer, that's it.
Bastl Instruments Quattro Figaro
A versatile 4 channel VCA/Mixer/Crossfader/Stereo Panner
They really packed a lot of functionality into this unit!
Bastl Instruments Skis
Dual Voltage Controlled Amplifier, Decay Envelope Generator. Great for creating percussive sounds because the attack parameter is fixed at fast, only the decay is adjustable.
A quad envelope/function generator. It can generate AD (Attack-Decay) or ASD (Attack-Sustain-Decay) envelopes with linear or expontential curves. Can also generate AD LFOs in cycle mode.
Analogue Solutions ATT4
Four channel passive attenuator, basically four volume controls.
EMW Patch 2
Passive utility with 4 independent groups of multiples. Split an incoming signal and route to three or four different outputs
Expert Sleepers Disting
A seriously deep module with so much functionality it ain't even funny. It can be a VCO, LFO, quantizer, envelope generator/follower, waveshaper, filter and much, much more!
Mutable Instruments Shades
Three-channel mixer/attenuverter. Combine audio or CV signals. Attenuate or invert polarity of an incoming signal.
Erica Synths Pico VCO
Small but powerful, these little VCOs pack a huge punch with 32, count 'em, 32 different wave forms. In LFO mode, each wave form can be used as a modulation source. Waves may be selected by using the wave control or CV! SkyLab I features 2 of these.
Synthrotek Deluxe PWR
Provides power for the system. 2000ma at +12v, 1500ma at -12v and 1500ma at +5v.
Doepfer A-111 -2 High End VCO/LFO
Triangle core oscillator with four available wave forms. Linear and exponetial FM, Hard and Soft Sync gives lots of tone manipulating possibilities. It also has a very handy octave switch!
Make Noise tELHARMONIC
This powerful multi-voice additive sound source adds the capability to play three-note chords with the ability to add and sweep thru the harmonics to create interesting timbres. The ability to use voltage to control the Degree, Interval and Tonic parameters allows you to create interesting chord progressions.
Make Noise René
This sequencer in named for the French philosopher & mathematician René Descartes because it uses his Cartesian coordinate system. A sequence is played across a grid of X & Y coordinates which will play notes and fire gates based on its location and boolean LOGIC settings. Four clock and two CV inputs, X and Y gate outputs and quantized and unquantized CV outputs make for a ton of sequencing capabilies.
Ladik M-160 6ch mono/stereo/aux mixer
Highly configurable mixer. Using jumpers it is possible to have as many mono or stereo channels as you need. Currently, I’m using the first two channels as stereo and the last four are mono.
Make Noise Rosie
Mixer for sending line level signals to the world outside of the synth.
