The journey to Journey to Freedom is almost complete. There still may be seats available for tonight’s show or, you can catch it tomorrow. Come out to see and experience Charlotte Johnson’s inspiring vision #jtfmovement
#modularmonday continues at the Iberian Rooster Market Underground & Open Mic. As always, lots of great talent and vendors. Derek “DC” Crocket and I will be on hand to back up whoever needs backup and, along with #SkyLabb, keeping the transitions between acts funky #getchamodon #exsoso
Journey to Freedom is Charlotte Johnson's inspiring dance production that touches on a lot of the traumatic situations we, as human beings, face every day and focuses on how we are able to overcome.
I am composing and will serve as music director for this show.
Please make plans to attend, you won't want to miss it!
Haven’t done one of these in a while #lightedbar
Over the years, I’ve said, several times “I would’ve loved to be a fly on the wall of this or that session”. At All Access Recording this week, I had the opportunity to be a little bit more than a fly. The project is called Tëti (Tribute to Evolutionary Trumpet Icons) and is the brainchild of my long-time friend, former band-mate Carl Fischer (who plays trumpet for Billy Joel). It was produced by Grammy Award winning producer, Kamau Kenyatta and featured the talents of several friends and colleagues including Patrick Bettison, LaRue Nickelson, Luís Alicea and Stephen Wright.
I got to put a little SkyLabular funk on a couple of tunes. Stay tuned for details, you’re not going to want to miss it!
Another EPIC to add to the playlist! #JusticeLeagueEmpire
